Back to jobsSystem Validation Engineering InternAustin, Texas, United StatesStart your applicationAbout the job Spend your summer validating the AI hardware systems that will shape the next generation of compute. As a System Validation Engineering Intern in Austin, you will help validate server blades and racks for advanced AI infrastructure. This 12-week, full-time summer internship is planned for May to August. You will work on post-silicon validation across system hardware, firmware and platform components. Your work will help engineers understand system readiness, quality, performance and product risk. You will support test planning, automation, execution and debug for AI compute blades and racks. You will also help provision system components, triage failures and track validation coverage. This internship gives you hands-on exposure to large-scale server validation, with guidance from engineers solving real infrastructure challenges. The team and culture You will join the Blade and Rack Validation team, which helps ensure system readiness and quality at scale. The team works closely with firmware, silicon, systems and platform engineers. Work happens through clear validation goals, lab-based testing, automated test execution, debug sessions and technical review. Decisions are driven by evidence, reproducible failures, coverage data and open discussion of risk. You will own defined tasks with support from engineers who expect curiosity and careful thinking. As an intern, you will be encouraged to ask questions, learn quickly and contribute to practical improvements. What we’re looking for Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related field Interest in large-scale server, AI infrastructure, rack or embedded system validation environments Exposure to hardware validation or debug for server systems through coursework, labs, projects or internships Understanding of concepts related to CPU, memory, IO, BIOS testing or system-level hardware behaviour Experience with Linux or server operating systems, plus automation using Python or Bash Willingness to work in lab environments, collaborate across teams and seek guidance when problems are unfamiliar While we have outlined a set of requirements, we value transferable skills and diverse experiences.
